Should celebrities really be role models?

Have you ever heard the argument about celebrities being role models? Do you actually believe they can? I sure don't. I strongly believe that celebrities should not be role models for everything they do thats bad and how they try not to and do try to get attention. Us kids and younger ones will see what they do and thinks it's alright to either do those things or treat people that way. It will be bad because you hear about all of your heroes getting arrested for stupid stuff like doing drugs and just getting all attention hungry. Do we really want to be idolizing those people?

Some people say yes because they get more money, they are successful in life. They are so popular, so they should idolized, YEAH sure if you want to idolize druggies, drunks and convicts, then sure, be my guest for chosing some crappy role models.

But you know what? So what if they are successful! Does it make it okay for them to do whatever they want? NO! People get blind sided by their money. Some rules get to bend and you'll be popular. Yeah, so they got on evil ugly side too! Drugs, alcohol, and attention hungry, all these things makes some celeb's get desperate like Britany Spears, when she shaved her head or Miley Cyrus, when her manger gave her something that wasn't expensive enough, and so she threw a fit. What the heck?! My point is when they do all this stuff kids think maybe thats how I'll get attention or what I want. They will start acting like the celebrity.

Celebrities sometimes mislead people. They will say not to do something yet do it themselves. They also lie to get out of stuff, some good kids look at them and say, "huh? They are doing it and they got far, so maybe I should do that, too." They can also act spoiled, and like a toddler. Tennis star Serena Williams. She threw this big tantrum that lost her the match. Young people will see grownups or "cool people" do things and try to imitate them. You think this is bad? You should see how they treat people.

There are good ways to basically tell the paprazzi to "bug off", but some celebrities curse, break cameras and get violent, because they got mad, and then got sued for breaking the camera. This one paparazzi said, "I would get punched in the face by celebrities, but I couldn't understand why?" That is telling us that we can treat the paparazzi like anything we want because they aren't important, only objects to shove away and let our anger out on them. Basically celebs are mean to others and kids will want to imitate them to be like them. Is that what we should idolize? What about the parents?

For real, the parents are the ones the kids really should be the ones they look up to. They are the ones that raise them and showed them right from wrong. They gave them everything they need. What do celebrities give them? Entertainment. Thats about it. We wouldn't love the celebrities if the weren't entertaining, but we will always love our parents. Famous basketball player, Charles Barkley, says "Just because I dunk baskets, doesn't mean I should raise your kids." See some celebrities agree they shouldn't be role models for kids. Why not take their advice?

So overall, I strongly believe that celebrities should not be role models.
